Doctoral Supervision Training
To improve the quality of the doctorate: this is the purpose of a workshop that has been organized in October 2013 at the Campus Catalunya of the URV, in Tarragona. The purpose of the activity is to help youngest supervisors who have recently started supervising PhD students in their work. During two days, they have learnt how to use specialized tools to face the challenges of their supervisory work, through practical exercises. This workshop is taught by Helmut Brentel, who is an expert researcher in the development of higher education and doctoral schools under the Bologna process. This training program is organized by the Graduate School of the URV and the International Campus of Excellence Southern Catalonia (CEICS), which has the improvement and internationalization of the doctorate as one of its priorities.
