‘EnoSigTur Mòbil’ is a technological application that can be consulted online or by mobile telephone and will help tourists plan their holidays to include the local wineries, restaurants, accommodation, services and activities that they are most interested in. The application asks tourists for their profile (if they are families, couples, their country of origin, where they are staying, the length of their stay etc.) and on the basis of this recommends one or more personalized itineraries.

It is an intelligent system that learns from the queries made by each tourist so that it can improve the recommendations that it makes to other individuals with similar characteristics.
The system allows oenotourists to make personalized plans for their visits. Accommodation, restaurants, wineries, services and activities are shown on the map and the application recommends an itinerary for each day of the tourist’s stay. The proposed routes can be viewed on a computer or mobile or they can be printed off.

During the visit, the itineraries can be consulted and modified according to the needs of the visitor, who can also share his or her experience through online social networks.
A project with joint-funding from the European Union.

The project has been developed at the Science and technology Park for Tourism and Leisure in Vila-seca and forms part of the Plan for Strengthening the Competitiveness of Oenotourism in the Tarragona Regions (CENOTUR). The Plan is managed by the Consortium for Improving the Competitiveness of Tourism and Leisure and is co-financed by Axis 1 of the European Fund for Regional Development in the frame of the 2007-2013 operative programme for Catalonia.

The aim of the CENOTUR plan is to generate structures that help the regions of Tarragona become an oenotourism destination by bringing knowledge and innovation to the sector.
