Eusebio Dizon

Lecturer at University of the Philippines.

He started working in prehistoric archaeology in 1977 at the National Museum of the Philippines and received formal academic training in Archaeology at the University of Pennsylvania specialized in Archaeometallurgy. He was the founding Director of the Archaeological Studies Program, University of the Philippines, Diliman in 1995. To date, as a Scientist III, he coordinates, participates and conducts archaeological researches in Palaeolithic, Neolithic, the Metal Age, Protohistory, Underwater and Maritime archaeology. He's the head of the Underwater Archaeology Section and Curator I in the Archaeology Division, National Museum The work involves the evaluation of both terrestrial and underwater archaeological sites, writing of research proposals, supervision of archaeological explorations and excavations of different sites, editorial and publication of scientific papers, etc.
