Urban development and architecture
The teaching and research spaces and infrastructures of the CEICS are distributed throughout the counties of southern Catalonia. The structures of the five clusters of specialization (chemistry and energy, nutrition and health, tourism, oenology, heritage and culture) are closely related to the socio-economic environment of the area, which facilitates the creation of links for channeling knowledge to society and the productive sector.
The teaching, research and knowledge transfer structures of this sub-campus are located in Vila-seca. The town is located at the heart of a booming tourist area and is home to the University School of Tourism and Leisure and the Science and Technology Park of Tourism and Leisure (PCT), which in turn accommodates the Consortium for Improving Competitiveness in Tourism and Leisure in the Province of Tarragona (CMCTUR), the organization that provides the research structure for the park.
